Hello All,

Man oh man did we have a crazy day on Sunday in Barcelona.  I apologize for not telling you sooner but things are always hectic when you travel right? Well, we spent Sunday just as many other Americans would spend a Sunday and that was to watch some good ole football.  Too bad we’re in Spain and Football is now Futball.  But that didn’t get us down because it was certainly an experience to remember.  We attended a soccer match between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid FC in Camp Nou, the largest stadium in Europe.  Tickets were 104 Euros a piece which is 135 US Dollars but I mean how can we visit Europe and not see an awesome soccer match.  And boy was it certainly awesome!!! With over 95,000 fans in attendance that day and an intense tied game I mean what more could you ask for at a sporting event. The stadium was huge and it seemed that no matter where anyone was sitting in the stadium, they were just as involved in the game as those spectators in the front row.  The game ended in a tie but that just made the fans even more intense.  So,  for the 7 of us we spent 945 dollars on tickets and 150 dollars on beer and stadium food cause everyone knows how pricey stadium food is. We also walked to and from the stadium from our hostel because it was only a 5 km walk. So all in all we spent $1095.00 on an incredible Futball game in the largest stadium in Europe.  What a day!!

‘til next time,
Zach Mehlenbacher
