Guys its Blake,

This might have been a little costly, but how many times do we get to go to Barcelona in our life and experience such beautiful scenery. So we've got a great opportunity to experience the spectacular Pyrenees Mountains on a tailor-made day excursion from Barcelona. The total cost for everybody to go is US$ 863.38 and its a one day trip so rides and everything, but food, tips, and personal expenses are included.

We departed at 8:30 a.m. and our first stop was in the ancient settlement of Vic, a beautifully maintained historical town. Here we got a chance to stroll around the town center and check out its cathedrals and its magnificent renaissance and baroque buildings. We also relaxed for a little bit while having breakfast in the heart of the town, a beautiful arched square (one of the biggest in the country) where the market and other major events are held. We afterwards headed on to the stunning stone-built village of Queralbs, while on the way passing by the Montesquiu Castle. Built in the 10th century, it served the military in the 15th century, and was then turned into a stately home. From here we could have caught the rack railway high into the Pyrenees, where we could spend the rest of the day exploring the mountain sanctuary of a much natural grandeur, but unfortunately the rack railway was closed so we had to get up to the mountain with a little bit of driving and walking. After having a late lunch at a random local restaurant, we were able to produce the energy to survive the walking we endured. Even though we didn't get to experience the rack railway, the walk and drive were well worth it because the views we're absolutely stunning! Once we got there we enjoyed taking the opportunity to go horseback riding on the mountain so we could see more of the scenery than if we had walked. Once evening approached we decided to get dinner and enjoy some of the traditional Catalan dishes available in the valley's restaurants recommended by our tour guide. Once full beyond capacity, we we're taken back to Barcelona. It was an unforgettable Pyrenean experience.
