Pre-trip planning

Hi everyone,

So, I have been doing some research on Barcelona, Spain.  As you can imagine this is a huge tourist spot.  This is a website that has some of the most popular tourist attractions in Barcelona.  http://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/en/albums-en/gaudi-sagrada-familia/  What I like about this site:  has maps of the metro line and which line takes you to your destination, in some cases dates and hours the attraction is open, and links to the attractions website, as well as photographs.  I would love to visit Sagrada Familia and the Picasso museum.  This is also the site I followed to find out information about The Barcelona Card.  The link that contains all the details of this card is here: http://euro.wwte7.com/pub/agent.dll?qscr=tsdt  Here is what the card includes and seems relatively priced...could be used to do most of our traveling while in Barcelona.  I bolded the public transportation factor, which I think makes it such a good deal. I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas.

  1. Krista, "The Barcelona Card" looks like a great idea! I definitely think we should take advantage of this deal, especially the museums and attraction. Those things can be pricey, but this card will allow us to access 18 museums and attractions for around 25-40 Euros. I would love to see the Botanical Gardens, Gothic Quarter and the Picasso.

I couldn't access the link you posted about the card but I found another one if anyone else wants to take a look:http://www.barcelona.com/barcelona_city_tours/standard_bus_tours/barcelona_card (hopefully this one works). On the website, it says we can choose from a 2, 3, 4 or 5 day pass. I would suggest we get a 3 or 4 day pass since were going to be in Barcelona for a week.

I also like the idea of being able to eat at select restaurant at a discount. I would love to experience spanish cuisine in Barcelona. That can also get very pricey, especially in a tourist area.
