Hey Everyone!
The flights from Sri Lanka to Ranchi, India have been booked! I can't wait to leave for our trip! I found a great deal on the flights. Tickets will be $320 a person and for all 7 of us to fly it will be $2,270.52 (including taxes). It will be a long flight with one long layover but this price can't be beat. We will have more money to spend in our destination and even with the long flight we will still have all the time to do the activities I have planned for our time in India!
Flight information:
-We will fly out of Colombo International Airport in Sri Lanka
-Jet Airways Flight 251
-Departure from Sri Lanka -- 3:10pm (this flight will be quick we should land at our first connecting stop at around 4:30pm).
-We will fly into Chennai Airport and get on our next flight at 8:25am (Yes, this is the extremely long layover, but it was the cheapest way to book the flight and saves us around $800 a ticket.)
-This flight we be about 4 hours and we will fly into New Delphi at 12:30pm.
-We then have a 2 hour layover until our next flight at 2:25pm. This flight we be about 2 hours. We will land in Ranchi International Aiport and beging our adventures in India! Can't wait!!!
Let me know what you think!

  1. Hey again everyone!

I also just booked our accommodations for India! Let me know what you think!

While looking throughout Ranchi for places to stay I could not find many lodges, resorts or forms of accommodations other than hotels. Good news is the hotels are very affordable, have many amenities and are close to many activities and methods of transportation including the railway. We will be staying at the "Accord Hotel" in Ranchi from November 7th-12th. Rooms come out to $50 per night. I booked 3 rooms for all of us to share. Each room has 2 queen size beds and the option a roll away cot. Our total comes out to $823.35. I can't wait to start our journey in India!

  2. Ranchi, India is such a beautiful place to tour the scenic and nature life! I think we should definitely take advantage of the majestic scenery and do a lot of activities outdoors. There are some great water falls we can tour. Here is my list of the top 10 things I would like to do while we are in India:

Many of these activities are free or have little cost included with them! I think these ten tourist sites will be very interesting for us to visit and a great place to visit after our long flights! We will be doing plenty of walking around so be sure to bring comfortable clothes. Can't wait!!!
